Today we are going to cook rice pudding in Nepal we call kheer this is a very famous dessert and everybody loves it we cook in parties holy ceremonies and festivals this is a very rich sweet and creamy rice dessert that rice cooks with lots of milk spices and dried nuts it's going to be very tasty let's start cooking. We have already here one and a half-liter of fat milk you can use another type of milk if you want 150 grams of white sugar, 100 grams of salt green rice washed and soaked half an hour, 15 grams of golden raisins some almonds, and hazelnuts. 15 grams of brown raisin 5 cardamoms, 3 cloves and a small sticks of cinnamon, 1 piece of coconut it's around 1 tbsp, 15 cashew nuts, and 12 pistachios 1 tbsp of ghee or butter our pot is already here on the gas with milk turn on the gas to high heat until the milk starts boiling meanwhile I'm going to wrap the spices in a small tea bag cloth and tie put it into the milk this will make it easier to remove later because we just want to get their flavor.

I'm going to cross the cashew nuts with a mortar like this don't make it powder reserve itchop the pistachio chop the dry coconut like this, chop the rest of the nuts and reserve them all this all dried nuts are going to givecrunchy and chewy texture to our rice pudding don't forget to keep an eye on the milk, milk is boiling now turn the heat to low and let it boil for 15 to 20minutes meanwhile keep it stirring like this to not let it stick on the pot andburn after 20 minutes it looks like this milk is reduce more than half liter andit's consistency is getting thicker now I am going to remove the spices from the pot add the rice into the milk mix it well increase heat to high until itboils, it is boiling now so turn the heat to low, let it boil for 10 minutesin between keep it stirring often like this in 10 minutes looks like this it'salready thickened rice is almost cook because we soaked it it doesn't needmuch time to cook add sugar mix it well until it dissolves add 1 tbsp of ghee or butter to give itsmooth texture.

If you don't want you can skip it mix it well and let it cook for2 minutes after 2 minutes add all chopped and crossed nuts mix well and let it cook for 4 minutes check the consistency rice pudding should be like this not very thick this is what I am looking for if your one is still liquidy you can cook a little bit more now our rice pudding is done let's turn off the gas time to taste wow look so rich and the creamy.

I can't wait to taste it delicious you can decorate like this I'm going to put little bit pistachios and cashew and raisins. It looks so yummy mmm crunchy as well from those nuts delicious so today we cook rice pudding it's a very famous dessert from Nepal. thanks for supporting Stuffifood and keep in touch to know more recipes.bye
